I've gotten off my high horse to send out some resumes and application this week. One went to the Belton Star Herald. Home to the Fighting Sasquatch and the largest beat farm ever, according to some people.  I'm also applying for a radio internship at 89.3 the current, the NPR affiliate here in Kansas City. If I were offered both I would probably try to do both since the internship is only 15-20 hours a week.  There is also a job posting for reporter position in Walsenburg, Colorado. It's in the south eastern part of the state.  It would be small town living but sounds interesting...I kinda like that part of the country.....Time to get back to work. 2bcontinued.

Begginnings

My first post. It will be a short one. Still working on what I want to do with this blog. I want to do something with it, though. I know that much. I had a blog in the past, but sometimes it's good to cut ties and start anew.

A recent conversation made me think of this blog about typography, It fills your everyday need for fonts. I'm a big Garamond person myself.

I've been looking at getting a new pair of headphones ever since I listened to some music using my friend Nick's pair of Audio-Technica MF-50 Monitor Headphones. I listened to a song I have heard a dozen times before but this time was different. I heard things I hadn't heard before, new sounds were coming from all over the place. It was a great musical experience. Anyways, now listening to music with my sony earbuds just doesn't cut it.
Here are the headphones I'm looking at. They are slightly better.

The ATH-AD700 series offers everything an audiophile would ever want me thinks. I wonder if there is a store around here that offers this pair. I'd love to test it out a little before I try it.
A few of the features the AD700's offer:
high quality sounds, deep resonating bass and vocal projections
Full open-air type structure that creates no sense of pressure on the ear, resulting in a completely natural sensation. More details can be found here!

Going to see District 9 tonight! A Peter Jackson produced joint. Perhaps I'll give a 17 word review later.
